The Himalayas is home to WPA''s longest-running project, a partnership with villages near Pipar, at 3,300m in the Annapurna Himalaya. Our long-standing commitment to village schools (paying for teachers'' salaries and building work) is matched by support from the villagers for the rich forests that hold five Himalayan pheasants, including the spectacular Himalayan monal and the beautiful satyr tragopan. A review of our 25 year involvement appeared in the WPA Annual Review for 2003-4
