List of Threatened Galliformes

The most authoritative and widely used listing of species that are globally threatened is the IUCN Red List. The conservation status of each group of birds and plants that appear on this list are assessed by groups of experts appointed by IUCN's Species Survival Commission.

BirdLife International is the Red List Authority for all birds. BirdLife, WPA and the galliform Specialist Groups work together closely in compiling and analysing information on Galliformes, and assessing their Red List status. WPA staff and/or galliform Specialist Group chairs along with BirdLife staff are the official Red List Evaluators for Galliformes.
