The full programme and booking details about the upcoming CBAG meeting are set out below. This is a full day of talks from top class Aviculturists, a chance to meet WPA members, and enjoy the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Bradwell Grove, Burford OX18 4JP. Cost £25 per person, includes lunch and tea/coffee refreshments.

09:30 – 10:00 Meet for coffee and a chat

10:00 – 10:15 Start of meeting and introductions

10:15 – 10:45 Jonathan Beilby – Galliformes in European Zoos

10:45 – 11:00 Gary Ward (Curator of Birds at London Zoo) – Update on the Great Angus Studbook and husbandry information on birds kept at ZSL

11:00 – 11:30 Will Costa (Project Manager & Lead Aviculturist at Slimbridge) – Candling, weight management and egg disposal

11:30 – 12:00 Luke Forster (Head of Birds Curator at Blackpool Zoo) – Black curassow, Crax alector: Management and lessons learnt

12:00 – 12:30 Zhang Jing (ex Curator of Birds at Beijing Zoo) – Breeding rare Galliformes in Beijing Zoo

12:30 – 13:30 Lunch & Raffle ticket sales

13:30 – 13:45 WPA and Symposium updates

13:45 – 14:15 Jan Dams (Head Curator of Birds at Antwerp Zoo) – Collared hill partridge in Aviculture

17:00 Meeting closes followed by optional CBAG Dinner at The Carpenters Arms

If you are arriving on Friday 6th February, you are welcome to join several members meeting for drinks at The Cotswold Arms after 7pm.

The CBAG dinner will take place 7pm on Saturday 7th February at The Carpenters Arms in Burford. Please let us know if you wish to attend the dinner so we can send you menu details nearer the time, as this will need to be prebooked.
