General Auction Items

The following is the list of general auction items for WPA’s first online auction. Send your bids via email to the  WPA office.  The list will be updated with prices as the bids come in. You will be contacted if you are outbid. The online auction is open until midnight on Friday 4th May 2018. Any item that does not reach the guide price will go into the auction at Compton Manor on 11th May. If your bid is successful you will be informed by email and given instructions for payment and collection of your purchases.

A day’s trout fishing for up to 3 rods on the Broadlands Estate
The Broadlands Estate is one of the most famous names in fly fishing, renowned the world over for the River Test flowing through the estate that was the home of Earl Mountbatten of Burma. The unique Nissen Hut is a welcome retreat for all Broadlands anglers, lined with photographs and fish, trophies of visits by royalty, diplomats and film stars. An interesting section of the River Test; wide, fast, varied and open, renowned for big brown trout, sea trout and the occasional salmon. Select Fridays available through the 2018 season (last day 13th October), to be taken outside of the mayfly season and by prior arrangement with Aardvark McLeod.

A Photographic Safari with renowned wildlife photographer David White at his farm at Berwick Bassett on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. Up to three people will be accompanied by David throughout and tuition and equipment can be supplied if required.  If you would like David to photograph your dog, perhaps jumping over a log with a pheasant and partridge, that can be arranged with some prints provided. Time of day and date to be arranged directly with David White.  A few drinks and light snacks will be provided.
